If you have a young chef in your house, get them cooking with Kidspirit. Our Cooking Academy for grades K-12 is going strong with live, online classes that bring out creativity and foster new skills. Our staff uses fun recipes, like this one you and your kids can try at home.



Apple Pie Popcorn


6 cups popped popcorn

1 teaspoon apple pie spice (1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon allspice)

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon butter, melted or cooking spray

1/2 cup chopped dried apples

1/4 cup chopped pecans

1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

1/4 cup roasted pumpkin seeds (optional)


Directions

In a small bowl, mix together sugar and spices. Combine popcorn, dried apples and pecans. Pour melted butter over popcorn mix (or spray with cooking spray). Dump sugar-spice mix over popcorn mix and toss to coat. Add walnuts and pumpkin seeds if desired.
